The responsibilities of the head referee are to provide leadership and structure to the referees. The referee director will develop an annual work plan for referee instruction, development, recruitment, and retention while maintaining updated records of current referees and contact information. He will oversee assignment
Referee Director
The responsibilities of the head referee are to provide leadership and structure to the referees. The referee director will develop an annual work plan for referee instruction, development, recruitment, and retention while maintaining updated records of current referees and contact information. He will oversee assignment of all games directly associated with the club, ensuring proper coverage for all games, including appropriate age, classification, and experience level of referee consistent with the level of the game. He will ensure adherence of all referees to OSA policies and procedures, and code of conduct, and any PCSI policies and procedures while ensuring referees are fully informed of dress code, and proper administration of game sheets. He will oversee all paperwork is confirmed and validated for proper compensation and distribution of payments to referees. Oversee the acquisition, storage and inventory of uniforms and equipment for new referees
Establish regular meeting schedule for referees, to organize education sessions for referees, and provided clinics or meetings as needed. The head referee will function as a liaison with Ponca City Soccer to remain current on referee matters with parents, coaches, and managers as needed.

The DOC oversees recruitment and assigning coaches to certain programs and teams. Provides monthly feedback to PSCI Board. Manage all feedback, make observations, mentor trainers, etc. Lead meetings, clinics, and seminars to assist improvement in the training of coaches. Develop and improve coaches so that players maximize their potential at all ages. The DOC will support competitive team placement in various leagues and tournaments. Promote, manage, and oversee “Free play” Tryout/Evaluation and seasonal associated programs.

The director of developmental soccer should instill a sense of passion and respect for the game. He or she needs to be knowledgeable about the frequent changes in the soccer landscape and adjust plans and needs to Ponca City Soccer accordingly. Duties included but are not limited to: providing monthly report to the PSCI board, registration of players to OSA, team formation, oversees of coaches, in charge of signups, assist any coach upon request in any soccer training matter such as attending a training session to introduce or help with a specific soccer topic, intervene with assist of board members in establishing a positive relationship with parents and players if conflict arise, maintains open communication with coaches and provides information regarding coaching education and development.
